Our Story

In 2015, Alissa Haber and Steve Rianda wanted to develop a travel organization that would not only play in competitive tournaments but would focus on the development of the player's mechanics, fundamentals, understanding of the game and the recruiting process. We want help develop our players into highly competitive, fundamentally sound, hardworking, goal oriented young adults.

There are options for girls to play from 12U to 18U age levels.

Meet the Coaches

Nor Cal Blast has some of the best coaches in the area. Most of our coaches have or are currently coaching/playing at the college level. In conjunction with Up The Middle Batting cages, we look to develop the player and prepare them for the next level. When you have coaches that have played and excelled in College and above it makes for a great learning environment.

Steve Rianda

Director/Recruiting Coordinator

Steve has over 18 years of coaching experience at the college level (NCAA Div. I, II, NAIA and Junior College) Boston College, College of San Mateo, Santa Clara, Notre Dame de Namur University.

Alisa Haber

Director of Hitting

Alissa is a graduate of Stanford University where she played softball at the highest level. She is a four time All American and four time All Pac-10 team. After college she played for both Team US and the National Professional Fastpitch (NFP).
